What to Expect From Your Consultation
Your consultation is a comprehensive eye exam focused specifically on determining whether laser vision correction is right for you.
We assess your prescription, eye health, corneal measurements, and overall suitability for surgery. While many people are good candidates, certain factors can affect eligibility, including:
- Dry eye
- Corneal shape or thickmess
- Pupil size
- Eye health conditions
- Higher Perscription
We’ll walk you through your results and explain what they mean for you, so you can make an informed decision.
Laser vision correction can significantly reduce your dependence on glasses or contact lenses, but it doesn’t guarantee perfect vision in every situation.

Is Laser Vision Correction Right for Me?
You may be a good candidate if you:
- Are over 18 with a stable perscripition
- Want to reduce your dependace on glasses or contract
- Have healthy eyes
- Are looking for a long-term vision solution
The best way to know for sure is through a consultation.
Types of Vision Correction Surgery
There are a few different types of laser procedures available. If laser vision correction isn’t the best option, there are still excellent surgical alternatives. We’ll help you understand which option may be the best fit for your eyes.
LASIK
A thin flap is created on the surface of the cornea, allowing the underlying tissue to be reshaped with a laser.
Best for:
Many common prescriptions
Benefit:
Fast recovery and minimal discomfort
SMILE
A minimally invasive procedure that reshapes the cornea without creating a flap.
Best for:
Mild to moderate prescriptions
Benefit:
May reduce the risk of dry eye symptoms for some patients
PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy)
The surface layer of the cornea is gently removed before reshaping.
Best for:
Thinner corneas or certain eye conditions
Trade-off:
Longer healing time, but excellent long-term results
ICL (Implantable Contact Lens)
A small lens is placed inside the eye to correct vision without reshaping the cornea.
Benefit:
Often a great option for patients with higher prescriptions or thinner corneas.
RLE (Refractive Lens Exchange)
Similar to cataract surgery, this procedure replaces the eye’s natural lens to improve vision.
Benefit:
Often considered for patients over 45 who are looking to reduce their need for glasses, especially for reading.
