VISTA EYECARE

Our Technology

Thoughtful technology. More personalized care.

At Vista Eyecare, technology isn’t just about having the latest equipment, it’s about giving you a more complete, more comfortable, and more personalized experience.

Many eye conditions develop quietly, without early symptoms. The tools we use help us detect changes sooner, monitor your eye health over time, and guide care that’s tailored specifically to you.

OUR PROMISE

Technology That Works Together

Each piece of technology plays a role, but the real value comes from how we use them together.

Your exam isn’t just one test. It’s a combination of insights that help us understand your eyes more completely and care for them more proactively.

Early Detection & Eye Health Monitoring

Because catching things early makes all the difference.

Optos California

 Ultra-wide imaging to catch eye
disease earlier

Learn more

Optos imaging technology helps our team detect diseases and conditions that affect your retina. This device captures an ultra-wide 200° retinal image in half a second using low-powered scanning lasers. Images from previous visits can easily be viewed beside the current image to look for changes.

Optos images (known as “Optomaps”) are useful for diagnosing and following eye diseases like retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein or artery occlusion, and choroidal nevus.

Zeiss Cirrus OCT

High-resolution imaging that guides more personalized care

Learn more

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive scan that gives us a high resolution, cross-sectional view of your retina, optic nerve, and cornea. This helps us detect and monitor conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration. It also helps us make sure that your specialty contact lenses fit just right.

The scan is fast and non-contact, nothing touches your eye.

Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer

Testing how well you see
what’s around you

Learn more

This test measures your peripheral (side) vision and helps us detect conditions like glaucoma as well as neurological conditions (like strokes) or medication-related side effects.

It’s also important for ensuring your vision meets SGI driving requirements, keeping you and those around you safe.

Comfort & Experience

Making your visit easier, more comfortable, and more efficient.

iCare Tonometer

Checking eye pressure
without the “air puff”

Learn more

No more dreaded puff of air. This handheld device gently measures your eye pressure with a light, quick touch, making the experience far more comfortable.

Don’t worry, if you prefer the air puff, we’ve still got that too!

Handy-Ref

More comfortable, accessible testing for every patient

Learn more

This handheld equipment allows us to estimate your prescription in a way that’s especially helpful for children or patients who may have difficulty using traditional equipment.

It also makes testing more accessible for patients in wheelchairs or anyone who may have challenges with positioning, allowing us to gather accurate information in a way that’s more comfortable and tailored to each patient.

Advanced Imaging & Specialty Care

More detailed insights for more personalized care.

Medmont Topographer

A detailed map of your
eye’s surface

Learn more

This technology creates a precise map of your cornea, helping us diagnose corneal disease, fit specialty contact lenses, and monitor subtle changes in the front of your eye over time.

It allows for more customized care, especially for patients with more complex vision needs.

MYAH

Tracking eye growth and supporting myopia management

Learn more

MYAH measures eye growth and provides detailed information that supports early intervention for myopia (nearsightedness) and helps us monitor for changes.

It also assists in evaluating dry eye and overall eye surface health.

Mediworks Dry Eye Diagnostic

A deeper understanding of dry eye and ocular surface health

Learn more

This system allows us to assess dry eye and the surface of your eye in a more detailed and comfortable way, without the need for more invasive testing.

It provides a comprehensive evaluation of your tear film, oil glands, and overall eye surface, helping us better understand the cause of your symptoms, create a personalized treatment plan, and adjust our strategy more effectively.

OUR PROMISE

From Results to Real Life

All of this technology helps us better understand your eyes, but what matters most is how that translates into your everyday vision.

That’s why we take the time to review your results with you and talk to you about the best treatment options for your eyes.

Book your eye exam and experience a more thoughtful, personalized approach to your care.
